Sanibel Fire & Rescue District 

Construction of Fire Station No. 172

The Sanibel Fire & Rescue District (“District”) is seeking responses from qualified contractors to provide services for the construction of a fire station.   

A copy of the solicitation may be obtained at no charge by visiting the District’s website at www.sanibelfire.com or by contacting Fire Chief Kevin Barbot at kbarbot@sanibelfire.com or 239-472-5525. 

All prospective respondents are prohibited from contacting any member of the District Board of Commissioners or District employees except as provided below.   All questions must be directed only to Fire Chief Kevin Barbot via email at Kbarbot@sanibelfire.com using “Question re: ITB No. 24-001 Fire Station Construction” as the subject line.  The deadline for submitting all questions is 2:00 P.M on February 15th, 2024.  Questions received after the deadline will not be answered.  All responses to questions and addenda will be posted on the District’s website. It is the responsibility of the respondent to review the District’s website to determine if any addenda have been issued and to acknowledge such addenda in its response. 

The District will select a contractor according to the process described in the ITB package.   The deadline to submit a response is 10:30 A.M. on March 4th, 2024.  Responses received after the deadline will not be accepted.  All costs and expenses related to the preparation and submission of a response are the sole responsibility of the respondent. 

The District reserves the right to withdraw and cancel this solicitation at any time, without liability to any respondent or prospective respondent.
